Christmas comes early at the book review cafe

I hold my hands up I love Christmas and always have done. I love the magic that surrounds this time of year and despite my son being an adult now I still love to carry on Christmas traditions that we started when my son was just a baby.  I just wish I had know about “elf on the shelf” I would love to have done that every December, mind you I am contemplating doing it for my husband instead, but I’m not sure he would be impressed!

The reason Christmas has come early is because of all the Christmas books I have received to review including Holly Martin, Carol Matthews Jenny Oliver and many more. Some of them have made me cry as they bring back childhood memories of Christmas ( wish upon a Christmas Cake by Darcie Boleyn, springs to mind), others have made me laugh out loud with the dialogue and loveable characters (Christmas at Lilac Cottage by Holly Martin)  there is certainly plenty of Christmas reading on the market right now, and the only problem I can see is the reader is going to be spoilt for choice, as for me all these Christmas books have put me in the Christmas mood, so I’m off to dust the Christmas decorations, wrap my presents and wonder if my husband would notice if I put the Christmas tree up in October!

If you read my blog you will know Chic Fiction isn’t my number one read, I’m more of a crime/thriller junkie, but I have to say I have been very impressed with most of the Christmas books I have read so far. A couple of them are released in the next few weeks, so feel free to pop by the book review cafe, and read my reviews on them.
