**Bookish Products** #Review Who Done It? Book Necklace #Crime

028869E0-3015-44FA-92B7-C84B82F530ABToday I’m thrilled to share my review for something that’s a little bit different to my normal book reviews. If you are a fan of suspense/crime thrillers or murder mysteries then you are going to love the Who Done It? handmade necklace.

The necklace comes complete with a “missing puzzle piece” and “key to solving the mystery” charms, as well as a miniature book charm that actually opens!! The necklace also arrived with a personal message and an adorable homemade book mark (a book lover can never have to many bookmarks).

If you order using the link I provide further down this post, you can also get a 20% discount off your necklace.

The Who Done It? Necklace came from Ameliasartifacts  on Etsy. It’s an American site so I was expecting to wait ages for the necklace to arrive, but I was pleasantly surprised when it turned up approximately a week later. It comes well packaged in a silver holographic box.

The necklace Dimensions are 18.75 Inches which is the perfect length for me as it falls at the top of my cleavage, if it was any longer I would worry about catching the charms.

The necklace comes with three charms, a key, a jigsaw piece and the Who Done It? book charm. The book charm is adorable and actually has pages in it, so the book literally opens! Which hang from a sturdy bar, the weight of the bar helps the necklace to sit perfectly and move around.

The necklace has a robust clasp, and it isn’t too tiny, as I can sometimes have trouble doing up a clasp on a necklace with my fat sausage fingers! It’s really well made, and all the charms are securely fitted, I also liked the small ruby red beads on the necklace, they add a pop off colour to the item, without looking to ‘garish’.

I do love quirky Jewellery so for me there’s nothing not to like about this necklace, it’s well made, and I love the gorgeous charms. In my opinion a lot of thought and time has gone into making this necklace.

Altogether the necklaces aren’t cheap I do think you have to bare in mind you are not only getting a unique piece of jewellery, but there’s also the time it must take Amelia to create each piece.

It’s the perfect gift for any book worm, but I also think the necklace would make a unique gift for authors, who write crime thrillers, but if the Who Done It? one isn’t your cup of tea, you can find plenty more book themed jewellery here..

Bookish products #Review Bibliophile 2020 12-Month Planner for #BookBloggers

B818FD9D-1A90-4949-9636-7541E51EE170

Today I’m sharing a review for something slightly different. Like most book bloggers I have numerous dates to post reviews, guest posts, blog tours, and my book of the month, the list is endless 🙈.

I save all my dates to my IPad planner but there’s a small part of me that’s petrified that for some unknown reason my IPad planner will disappear, what would I do then? How could I possibly remember what dates I had scheduled in? (some dates are scheduled months in advance). So I have been looking for a planner that fits all my requirements for months, and finally I think I’ve found the perfect thing the Bibliophile 2020 12-Month Planner.

The first thing that attracted me to this one is the cover, I love the beautifully illustrated book stacks by Jane Mount, each month features different book titles. There are a 176 pages in total in this planner, and the size is as follows….

  • Height: 25mm
  • Width: 213mm
  • Length: 165mm

3B71D514-1342-4795-BBCC-714845DA4196

Each month features a ‘books to read page’, there’s plenty of room for mine, but I’m sure there are some bloggers who would prefer more space due to the amount of books they read.

Each month has plenty of room to add bookish dates, as there’s two pages per week, plus room at the end of the week to add extras. Another thing I adore about this planner are the little book related sketches of literary objects, and famous authors.

I was really surprised by the quality of this product the pages are a good quality paper, not at all flimsy. The cover is also very sturdy and robust.

There’s also plenty of pages for notes at the front which is super handy, I shall probably use mine to list the books I read this  year and perhaps a sentence or two about the book.

This deluxe planner features a handy side pocket and ribbon page marker, as well as notable dates in literary history.

For £8.49p (which includes free delivery) I think the Bibliophile 2020 12-Month Planner is a bargain, it’s perfect for book bloggers, and book worms alike.

**My thanks to Mr book review café who bought me my planner, and please note the link I have included is not an affiliated link**

My Chronicle Book Box #BookSubscription #Monthly @MyChronicleBB #Review #DiscountCode #CrimeMysteryBox #Mychroniclebookbox #OctoberBox

318AEA64-B6C2-4B3A-9AEB-5DF25B5FB8CD

There is nothing more exciting than receiving a gift in the post, and it’s even more exciting when it’s a book subscription, every bookworms dream. Personally I think these boxes would make the perfect birthday/Christmas or just a gift for someone special or even yourself!

First up I love the box, the blue and white theme looks fresh and inviting and perfect for a male or female I couldn’t wait to take a peek inside.

318AEA64-B6C2-4B3A-9AEB-5DF25B5FB8CD

The first thing I noticed was how perfectly wrapped everything was, and in keeping with the box.

6836CFD5-E850-45C4-8C69-242BF591484D

And then the unwrapping, I must say the gifts inside exceeded my expectations, they were all of a very high quality.

I did have one small quibble, I would suggest moving the card to the bottom of the box as it contains details of all the bookish gifts included, there is a warning saying **spoilers ahead** but it caught my eye immediately, so I spotted what one of the gifts was.

First up the book, beautifully and individually wrapped, in a heavy quality coloured paper which is secured with a string bow.

So what bookish gifts lay inside?

First up a signed  hard back, first edition of The Long Call by Anne Cleeves. The first book in a detective crime series set in North Devon. I haven’t read a book by this author before, so for me the beauty of these boxes is that it gives you the opportunity to read books that you might have missed out on. I also love that it’s also a signed copy, so this one will be added to my treasured signed book bookshelf.

what else was in the box?

Its obvious Louise has thought long and hard about the gifts to include with this book, and all the gifts fit perfectly with the theme of the book. Included were the following…

An author interview on sturdy card rather than paper, and I loved the photo on the front.

5D385854-B6E8-4E28-B0B6-EBDA0C9275FD

A Devon inspired candle from https://happypiranha.com/ I do love my scented candles, so this was the perfect gift for me. It’s in a tin rather than a glass jar, which I prefer, it’s  hand poured, and exclusive to this box, it smells beautiful, it’s fresh rather than floral, I immediately thought of the sea, and I can’t wait to light this one (and it has a 35 hour burn time)

F093F546-ACD6-4273-9A97-7053A41C55E8

Two glossy postcards, printed on high quality card of Devon, I love photos of the sea, I always find they evoke happy memories and relax me. I think these postcards will make excellent bookmarks as they are so sturdy, so an added bonus.

My overall thoughts

I think My Monthly Box Chronicle is onto a winner here, it’s obvious a lot of thought has gone into each box, they have definitely been packed with love and care. From the book, to the themed gifts there wasn’t anything in this book that I won’t be able to find a use for.

Personally I think it’s worth every penny, especially when you consider each box contains a signed first edition. I did think especially for the bookworms amongst us there is a chance you may receive a book you already have, but then I would keep the signed copy and give my other copy away, or keep both!  I love browsing bookshops, but there was something extra special about receiving a book subscription in this post, it felt like Christmas and my birthday all rolled into one.

4BF0E9EF-E90C-49D9-A8E4-11BB6A30874F

If you have never had a book subscription before and are seriously considering giving it a try then  I would definitely go for My Chronicle Book Box first.
